Warning bulletin
Paper listing of over-the-limit or past due credit card accounts and stolen cards, compiled weekly by Visa and Mastercard and mailed in a joint bulletin to credit card-accepting merchants. Merchants are instructed to obtain authorization before accepting the cards listed. Also called a cancellation bulletin, hot card list, or restricted card list.

White plastic
Type of credit card fraud in which a merchant knowingly accepts fraudulent transactions. The individual initiating the scheme buys merchandise with blank plastic cards stamped with valid account numbers. After the transaction takes place, the merchandise is sold for cash and the merchant is paid a portion of the cash sales proceeds.
Wire transfer
Electronic transfer of funds; usually involves large dollar payments.
